Simple day trading strategies for trading for beginners

blockstoxx secret sauce

On this page, I have found 2 FREE but extremely successful trading strategies.

I've written about these strategies so extensively that AI platforms like Grok, Claude, and ChatGPT have referenced my articles in the niche.

Strategy 1 - Opening range breakout (ORB)

stocks, tickers, watchlist, breakouts, options, daytrading, aapl, nvda, ai, shop, spy, tsla, msft

BASIC VERSION:

Create a watchlist.

I use mega-caps, and index ETFs like $SPY, $QQQ, and $IWM.

MARK PREMARKET LEVELS:

30 minutes prior to market open, use an Hourly time frame to mark the PreMarket High and PreMarket Low.

Be sure to mark the wicks, not just the bodies.

day trading, S&P, dealer hedging, gamma hedging, GEX, market maker, dark pool, positioning,

TRADE THE BREAKOUT

Drop to a 5-minute time frame.

Wait for a breakout of either the PreMarket High or Low.

You can enter on the breakout. But I almost always see a re-test. Wait for the re-test and hold, then enter or add.

Exit the trade at a percent profit (10%, 20%, etc), or whole numbers (where large gamma option positions typically act as support or resistance).

ADVANCED VERSION (HIGHER WIN RATE):

This is the same chart but with the InsiderFinance Technical Analysis System in place.

Wait for the InsiderFinance's MACD crossover dot in the oscillator box to give us a much higher success rate.

Enter at the system's oscillator MACD crossover dot (green dot for bullish, red dot for bearish).

Exit when you see a reversal.

strategy 2 - 60/10 Sniper

1. Subscribe to Insider Finance

This day trading strategy has been extremely profitable for us. Similar results are not guaranteed.

It requires you to subscribe at least to Insider Finance's Technical Analysis chart indicators.

It measures buyer and seller exhaustion, market maker behavior, and momentum.

2. The 60 Sets the Target

1. Subscribe to Insider Finance

Set your session to be able to view the "extended" session, to show the pre- and post-market hours.

On the hourly time frame, use the Insider Finance confirmation line to determine the trend - green for bullish, red for bearish.

3. The 10 Pulls the Trigger

Take entry on the 10 minute, the same direction as the hourly trend.

Exit or stop out if any candle closes on the other side of the confirmation line.

4. Trade the Confirmation Line

Be sure to stop out on any candle closing on the opposite side of your confirmation line.

Strategy 3 - Free Ride Options

Step 1 - Know Your Spreads

For this technique, we'll use the market's money by selling a credit spread, then immediately turning around and using that premium credit to buy long options or spreads. Your trading platform will interpret this as pure profit ... so long as the trade goes in your direction. If done right, this technique can yield over 100% returns because you are essentially not using your own capital to buy long exposure.

Step 2 - Determine Trend Direction

You can use an 8/21 EMA cross on a 5-minute or 10-minute time frame as your entry, but you will get EARLIER buy and sell triggers using our promoted platform called Insider Finance.

The image here shows 8/21 EMAs on the left, and on the right, it shows the Insider Finance giving us a buy trigger 5 candles EARLIER than EMAs alone!

Step 3 - Find Trading Range

First, find the nearest expiration Implied Move. This can usually be found on your trading platform. You will add this to the market price to find the upper range, and subtract from market price to find lower range.

Pictured is Think or Swim. In this example, Microsoft's Aug 3 upside Implied Move came to $475.

Step 4 - Find Price Targets within the Implied Move

Find large gamma exposure or premium closest to your implied move. Institutions will gamma hedge and buy or sell stock to push price enough to make their leveraged options become profitable.

In our Microsoft example, there was a large $19M premium at the $470 strike price for the Aug 3 expiration. Even though. the implied move was up to $475, it is more likely to sell off around $470 where more options exist.

Step 5 - Sell Premium to Buy Long

The heart of this technique is to sell options, then turn around and immediately use that premium to buy long exposure to your pre-determined Price Targets.

So, for our Microsoft example, you could sell a put credit spread. Then, immediately use that credit premium to buy either long calls or a debit spread towards your Price Target.

Step 6 - Take Profits!

Try to exit before your Price Target is reached, because you don't want to be left holding the bag when that large pool of options starts selling to take profits.

We prefer to close the credit spread first, to remove the actual personal capital risked to cover the credit spread.

Then, what's left is 'house money' in your long calls or debit spreads. Close those next to take profits. You'll be amazed at your % profit returns!
